Advanced Experience

For the racer who has a need for speed AND is a previous customer of NASCAR Racing Experience. To participate in the Advanced Experience, you must have completed the Track Time 32 Minute, 40 Minute or 48 Minute experience. 

Every minute at the racetrack is one on one with your Personal Racing Instructor and is a lead follow experience- You will follow the Racing Instructor in front of you around the speedway for each and every lap and session.  And while you’re driving you’ll  communicate with your racing instructor over 2-way, in car radio. 

There are no timed sessions as the Advanced consists of (4) 10 Lap sessions on track, all back to back….that’s a total of 40 laps. In between each session take a brief pit stop and head back out for your next session until all 4 sessions are completed. Each and every session you’ll work on achieving top speeds- The Advanced Experience is the fastest driving experience offered at NASCAR Racing Experience.

Do I really get to drive a NASCAR race car?

Yes — this is the real deal. Following a Driver’s Meeting with training and instruction-you’ll strap into a real NASCAR race car and drive by yourself on a legendary NASCAR race track, the same speeways NASCAR races on.  If you don’t want to drive you can ride as a passenger in the NASCAR Ride Along.

How long does it take to do a Driving Experience?
All timed driving sessions you should allow up to 3 hours from your scheduled start time. This includes the drivers meeting, training and instruction. Ride Along should allow up to 1 hour from your scheduled start time. Times may vary depending on track conditions.
Do I need a valid driver’s license?
Yes, all DRIVERS are required to bring a valid driver’s license to the race track and present when checking in. Ride Alongs do not require a drivers license.
Are there any age and size restrictions?
Yes. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and should not exceed 6’7″, 300 lbs. Our race cars do not have doors, so participants must have the ability to climb into the cock pit of the NASCAR race car thru the window. Passengers for Ride Along must be a minimum of 5 ft. Tall and 100 lbs. Under 18 years must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign a parental consent form. If you do not speak English and are driving, we must know so accommodations can be made in advance. Please ask if you need assistance and we are happy to help.
When do timed driving sessions begin and end?
The time on your driving session begins as you start driving down pit road and it ends when you pull back into the pits.
What do I wear?
Comfortable, casual clothes depending on the time of year as your clothing will be worn under a driving suit. Wear closed toe shoes, tennis shoes are recommended.
What kind of race tracks will I be driving on?
All asphalt oval race tracks, the same race tracks NASCAR races on which are the nation’s premier speedways.

What is the $44.99 Driver’s Fee?
We’ve got you covered! For $44.99 all drivers are covered with vehicle liability insurance, plus you get a souvenir racing license to take home with you. The drivers fee is required for all drivers and is due at check out when making a reservation.
Are Reservations Required?
We highly recommend you make a reservation in advance. Space is limited on any given track day and most dates do sell out in advance. Why risk the chance of not getting to drive by waiting until the last minute? Go ahead and make your reservation today!
What’s the difference in NASCAR Racing Experience and other racing schools or driving experiences?

Can I bring friends and family to watch?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring friends and family. A trackside viewing area is available at all tracks.
Do I have to know how to drive a stick shift?
It is highly recommended, if you don’t have the ability please let us know in advance so we can be prepared to assist you.
What determines “top speeds”?
Multiple factors determine top speeds including track conditions, weather, temperature, the size of the race track, banking, the experience purchased and individual driving ability. As stated, “top speeds may reach up to” means exactly that. Top speeds are approximate top speeds. We take the average lap speeds and add to that speed to get an approximate top speed at end of straightaways. The higher programs we offer, the speeds will be closer to the actual top speed. Because it is an estimated top speed based off the average lap speed, the 5min & 8-16min programs will be skewed to the high side and the 24-48min programs will be closer to accurate top speeds, which will be reached at the end of the straightaway. Top speed will be printed for all drivers on your graduate certificate. All speeds stated are TOP MPH reached at the end of the straightaway, not the average lap speed.
Is passing allowed?
Yes, if you come up on a slower race car, your personal racing instructor will instruct you to pass.
What if I can’t fit in the race car?
The weight and height requirements are a general range and are not guaranteed. In the event you can’t fit in the car, we will do our best to help accommodate you at the racetrack with other options.
Where do we need to go at the racetrack to check in?
Please refer to your booking confirmation email, each track is different or call customer service 704-886-2400. Most the time drivers check in at the Media Center in the infield and riders check in at the Pit Road trailer.
What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards including American Express, Master Card, Visa, Discover plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. No cash is accepted.

Can I drive if I have hearing aids?
Yes, but we will need to know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Drivers communicate with spotters. Please call us in advance if you have concerns, so we can plan.
What does More Minutes equal More Speed mean?

Our driving experiences are structured so the more time you spend on the race track, the more comfortable you will feel in the race car on the race track. Most guest will be able to handle faster speeds the more comfortable they feel, so usually the more track time you buy, the faster you will go. We have rev limiters in the cars to control the top speeds a car will run on their last session, in our 5-16 minutes the cars will run up to 5000 RPM’s, 24-40 minutes the cars will run up to 5400 RPM’s, 48 minutes the cars will run up to 5600 RPM’s, Advanced Driving Experience the cars will run up to 5800 RPM’s. the guest personal racing instructor will determine whether the guest is capable of running any faster, the changing to the next level RPM’s is no guarantee, you must show your personal racing instructor that you are capable of running faster speeds by running the correct driving line we teach you during your classroom session. RPM’s may vary based on track size.

Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes. Digital waivers will be emailed, and printed waivers will be at the race track.
What happens if I wreck a race car?
If a customer spins out or wrecks a race car, for safety reasons, their experience will end at that point.
Do I have to speak English to participate?
If you are driving, you will need to notify us in advance so special accommodations can be made. Please email Contact@driving101.com. We will need to know what language you speak and booking ID. if you are doing a Ride Along, you do not need to speak English.
What happens if it rains?
If it rains the day of the experience- The racing experience can not operate safely in the rain or on a wet racetrack. We will go on rain delay and monitor the weather closely. Once the rain stops, the race track will be dried and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. In the event we are rained out, customers can be rescheduled or issued a Credit that never expires which can be used at any of the nationwide speedways offered. Please be sure your correct cell phone and email are on file with your reservation. We will send updates via email and text message when necessary.

What are the terms and conditions for a reservation?
Thank you for making a reservation. Once a reservation has been made, changes can be made more than 30 days prior to the reservation date for a $50 administration fee. Within 30 days of the reservation date you will be locked in to this date and time – no changes can be made. If you cancel or fail to attend, you will forfeit your entire reservation. There are no refunds for any reason. In the event of inclement weather or situations out of the racing experience’s control, you will be rescheduled or issued a voucher. Vouchers never expire and may be used for any of the nationwide locations. Please note all dates are subject to change. Following acceptance of payment, a confirmation email will be sent within minutes of your transaction.
