Friday, August 5, 2011 DC Housewife and “White House Crasher” Michaele Salahi and husband and Tareq Salahi were invited out to NASCAR Racing Experience to drive real NASCAR race cars at Richmond International Raceway. 
During the Drivers meeting, discussing all the rules and safety Michaele quickly learned she had to drive a stick shift….and she didn’t know how.  Crew Chief Adrian took Michaele aside, gave her some one on one training and then put Michaele in a ride car for a NASCAR ride along.  And before getting into the ride car, Michaele politely asked “Aren’t you going to open the door for me?” not realizing she had to climb in thru the window.  The NASCAR ride along was for 3 laps around the speedway at top speeds.  Professional Racing Instructor Bill said “Michaele screamed and laughed the entire ride! She was a blast as a passenger! “ 
Once the ride along was over and Michaele caught her breath, she got into a real NASCAR race car to drive.  Michaele drive one 8 minute timed racing session around Richmond International raceway,  Her husband Tareq drove two (8) minute timed racing sessions back to back on the speedway.  Once out of the race car, Tareq said “I cant believe how the 2nd driving session made such a difference!  This was amazing!  I want to drive again at another race track!”  Tareq’s top speed was over 122mph and Michaele broke the 100mph mark! 
“We were so happy to have them both at NASCAR Racing Experience.  It doesn’t get any more realistic than these reality TV starts driving real NASCAR race cars.  The guests here loved getting to meet Michaele, getting photos and autographs.  They are both a lot of fun and really good drivers” said Heather Lutz VP Sales and Marketing for NASCAR Racing Experience.
